We enjoyed everything about Porto Roca. The private deck off of our room was to die for. The service was impecible and the location was perfect. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We can't wait to return!
The staff were lovely. We had to leave at 4am on our final day and the staff organised for us to have an espresso and had packed us breakfast for our drive to Milan airport before flying home to Australia. We will always remember the staff at Porto Rocca. Thank you Delyse & Ben Wilson
It would be nice to have a laundry with washing machine and dryer for us to wash our own clothes - it gets very expensive to use the laundry service all the time while away oerseas!
Buffet breakfast and dinner good value for money, the outlook from the top is supurb. This is our second trip to the hotel and enjoyed it as much as the first
Rooms a little tired but after all it is Italy they are commencing to upgrade and refurbish all of the rooms, suggest any future travels to request room with a view and one that has been refurbished
Spectacular views from common areas, gracious staff, elegant ambiance, updated room & bath, nice breakfast
Tiny balcony (1 seat only), 'sea view' a bit limited (but still nice), restaurant food did not meet expectations, very expensive for room size and amenities
The sea view was wonderful! The staff at the hotel was very friendly and made our stay quite enjoyable. The breakfast was exceptional and the restaurant personnel were very warm and welcoming. Delicious food, good service, and a great experience all around!
We loved the sunningh views, the breakfasts, the service ans th overall ambience. We would dearly love to return to Monterosso, and if so we wouild stay at the Hotel Porto Roca.
Great views and access to Cinque Terre hiking path and Monterosso shopping and restaurants.
Cost of hotel versus quality of room/amenities. Way over-priced.
Ok hotel with a great view over the harbour and great to have access to a section of the beach below with umbrellas, chairs etc... Room was ok and very clean with everything you needed.
The hotel is about 1km out of town up a very narrow steep road. If you don't have a guaranteed sea view room then it is just not worth the haul up the hill or the extra money you pay to stay there. Much better value to be found in town - closer to the beach, the train, the car parks and restaurants etc... A real hassle to have no parking at or near the hotel, but the hotel does offer a great drop and pick up service at no cost. Our room was very clean but quite basic and with the hardest beds and pillows I have ever slept in! Breakfast was adequate but not great with stale bread and pastries.
Best hotel in area, with excellent location and views. Private beach with loungers was a nice touch. Although hotel is overpriced, it is well worth the money. Currently they are building a pool which will make the hotel all the more enjoyable. Service was absolutely excellent. If you park in the car park by beach, they will even send a taxi down to meet you with luggage. Great suites for kids with privacy door. ..we had a sea view JUNIOR SUITE. Veranda and views are fabulous with 2 chairs, 2 loungers and small table..perfect venue for enjoying a nice bottle of wine from the Enotecas in the old town, which is only a 5 minute walk. Spacious suites for Europe, walk in closet, beautiful bathroom, 2 TVs, table and chairs, bathrobes, vanity, excellent shower etc. Restaurant and breakfast good. Definitely would recommend
The only negative thing was the price, and the walk down to the town/beach. Okay for young and fit people, but may be a bit much for seniors or young children.
Beautiful location just outside of the village. We enjoyed a seaside room with a terrace overlooking the sea with beautiful views. Breakfast offered good variety. The walk up to the hotel was rigorous but we enjoyed the view. Very nice sitting area outside of the hotel to have a drink and take in the view.
Friendly staff, views from room, breakfast, walk to town
I liked the fantastic view we had of the ocean.
The bed mattress no too comfortable, air condition unit rattled a bit.
The views from the rooms were excellent (if you request a seaside view). The balcony was spacious and private. The location on the top of the cliff offered privacy and exclusion from the busy city.
Very very very highly priced for the size and amenities of the room. There was barely space to walk around the bed and we had ants in our room. You are definitely paying for the view.
Our room was Beautifully situated overlooking the water with a balcony. We ate dinner in their restraint and the head waiter brought our cheese and after dinner drink to our balcony! Very accommodating. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and up to date.
We had a lot of trouble locating the parking for the hotel. You need to park in a lot, then a taxi takes you to the hotel. The hotel picks up the tab for the taxi, but it took us over an hour to find the parking.
The hotel was excellent, the staff was extremely helpful with requests for reservations and the views were amazing. A fantastic stay- food in the restaurant was excellent. The ride to and from the train station to the hotel was wonderful.
